The domaine (Mas Bel Air) in Perpignan has become Rière family’s own property as far back as 1904.
In 1988, Jean-François RIERE, having a passion for the vines and wines from his childhood, has taken up again the property of his great-grandfather and grandfather . At this time, the harvest was trusted to a cooperatively owned winery.
Mr Fernand Cadène, father of Jean-François’s mother, and Mr Jean Rière father of Jean-François ‘s father and his father too, they had the same name ! Among the range of wine, you will find the Cuvée Jean Rière, and Fernand Cadène.
In 1994, with his wife Laurence, he decided to create their privately owned winery.
They really wish to make their own wine, according their own methods ,their know-how and their common passion.
The Domaine RIERE CADENE, privately owned winery, was born.
