Our Wines:
|
Today, Jean-François and his wife, Laurence, present fine, fruity and elegant wines, reflecting the typical terroir of Roussillon, growing grapes and making wine according to traditional methods and respecting the soil as well as the environment. Thanks to great dynamism and willpower, they can say today they have managed to offer a very nice range of wines, fruit of their own work.
The main grapes wines are syrah (young), black grenache, carignan (old) and mourvèdre for the red wines ; white grenache, maccabeu, for the white wines ; syrah and black grenache for the rosés. For the Muscat de Rivesaltes they used Muscat à Petits Grains and Muscat d’Alexandrie. Rivesaltes are made with black grenache (tuilé), grey and white grenache. Our wines come from ancient terraces of the river « La Têt », on a stony and sandy soil – alluvial with granit and quartz.
At the present moment, Domaine RIERE CADENE can offer 12 different wines under the denomination AOC (dry and sweet wines under Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée) and 3 Vins de Pays des Côtes Catalanes These wines are to be said fruity, fine and elegant. Now, let’s go, it’s up to you to draw your own conclusions !
